I never give 5 stars until I use the product thoroughly. Upon delivery, the battery drained extremely fast, but after charging it overnight, the battery seems to hold a decent charge. It would be nice to have a spare battery in the package so that it can be changed mid-project to maintain a good working pace.

I have so much trouble cutting my dog’s hair. It is very thick and mist clippers get stuck, are loud and scary for my dog, they vibrate a ton and hurt my hands, and the cord gets in the way. These clippers aren’t very loud, don’t hurt my hands, and there’s no cord which is very convenient. Best of all, they cut my dog’s hair, even matted spots, with no trouble! Awesome!

I have a cockapoo with thick hair. The clippers would pull even though I had already cut her hair short with my prior clippers and scissors. And sometimes they even seemed to just push the hair without cutting. They also had a hard time going through little knots. And to top it off they ran out of charge when I decided to clip my scotty dogs hair right after. So in order to finish I had to plug the usb into an adaptor to plug into an extension cord so I could reach the dog to cut the rest of her hair. Sorry! Was really hoping for the best, but I have to be honest. I’ve been clipping my own dogs’ hair for about 30 years and my Oster clippers lasted over 15 years, and I’m questioning if these will be sharp enough after a year. They make just as much noise as my old clippers too.

I’ve only used this once so far, but it seems like a good product. I like the digital display – it shows you what speed setting you’re on and how much battery life is remaining. It’s easy to hold – lighter and less bulky than my previous trimmer. I would not say this is quiet, but it’s not particularly loud – just average volume for a clipper. The comb and scissors that came with it are nice quality and make grooming easier. My dog is a poodle/westie mix – he has mixed-texture fur including really thick, kinky/curly fur around his neck and shoulders. I’ve had to remove the guides more often than I’d like as I’m trimming, to clear the area of fur, and removing them is a bit tricky. But overall it cuts through his fur well. I hope it holds up long-term.
